The Buckwalter System is a strictly orthographical transliteration of Arabic letters into 7-bit ASCII. Buckwalter transliteration can be trivially converted to and from Unicode, which is what this script does. Just paste some Arabic text into the right box or type in the left one (note that not all 7-bit ASCII characters correspond to something in Arabic). Het Buckwalter-systeem is een letter-voor-letter omschrijving van Arabische letters naar 7-bits ASCII-karakters. Buckwalter transliteraties kunnen triviaal worden omgezet naar Unicode karakters, en dat is precies wat dit script doet.
